Watch out forFriedrich's manual says to replace the sleeve's old rear grille with the dual-intake grille in the kit; owners report installers skipping it and units failing soon after. Friedrich excludes faulty installation from the warranty.Below 41°F outside the unit shuts off and shows LO (manual); owners who checked found no firmware that lowers it. Owners report rattles in the first days; adhesive foam at contact points helps if the cause is the window or bracket. A conventional box unit, not U-shaped; Midea's U models have no heat mode.
