Our takeThe 2-ton holds 20,600 Btu/h at 5°F (86% of rating) and turns down to 6,600 at 47°F. Strong numbers, but the warranty requires a professional install; DIYers should look at the Hyper Heat 2nd Gen.Out-heats the bigger Livo 30K at 5°F and still lists 17,000 BTU/h at -22°F. Buy it when this is the main heat in a cold climate and a licensed contractor is installing it.

Watch out forThis is the 2nd-gen R-454B Universal (model numbers ending -O); most owner history online is about the discontinued R-410A first generation. MRCOOL's printed warranty requires a professional installer and an authorized dealer; the Central Ducted Hyper Heat 2nd Gen warranty allows owner installs with the Quick Connect line set. NEEP ratings with MRCOOL cased coils on a furnace are lower than with the matched UAH air handler, and some coil pairings aren't ENERGY STAR Cold Climate. Sold on Amazon by a third-party HVAC supplier we couldn't confirm as an MRCOOL authorized dealer; ask before you buy.Amazon Sapphire titles show old SEER figures ("21.5 SEER" on the 24K); confirm the SAPxxHP230V1R32AH/AO model numbers. Gree's submittal prints lower 17°F figures than the certified NEEP ratings; go by NEEP. Gree's warranty applies only to installs by a state certified or licensed HVAC contractor, and claims are contractor-only.
