Before you buy

  • This is the 2nd-gen R-454B Universal (model numbers ending -O); most owner history online is about the discontinued R-410A first generation.
  • MRCOOL's printed warranty requires a professional installer and an authorized dealer; the Central Ducted Hyper Heat 2nd Gen warranty allows owner installs with the Quick Connect line set.
  • NEEP ratings with MRCOOL cased coils on a furnace are lower than with the matched UAH air handler, and some coil pairings aren't ENERGY STAR Cold Climate.
