Our take
Silent, steady oil-filled baseboard heat for a bedroom of roughly 125 sq ft: 1,250 W on 240 V. It costs several times a plain baseboard and uses exactly the same electricity per BTU.
The plug-in route if you have, or will add, a dedicated 30 A circuit with a NEMA 6-30R outlet, and a heater you can store in summer. Its manual says floor use only, not for household use, and not to leave it running unattended for long.

Watch out for
Thermostat sold separately. A 120 V SoftHeat on a 240 V circuit fails; a 240 V model on 120 V makes a quarter of its heat. The Amazon listing shows no model number; its 240/208V and 5.21/4.5 A ratings match the EBHN1250W.
The product page advertises wall or ceiling mounting; the manual says floor heater only. Go by the manual. Not for areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
