PhotoComfort Zone CZ230ER 7,500W Digital Garage Heater with RemoteMr. Heater Big Buddy 18,000 BTU (MH18B, no fan)
Our scoreSCORE7.0 / 10SCORE7.0 / 10
Our take50% more heat than the CZ220 with a 45-95°F digital thermostat, remote and timer. Its LOW is still 6,250 W, so in a smaller garage it mostly cycles at near full power, and it needs a 40 A circuit.A good heater for blinds, shelters, camp and outages on 1 lb cylinders, with a low-oxygen shutoff and tip-over switch. A closed garage isn't on its manual's indoor list, and there's no thermostat or fan.

Watch out for1-year warranty; after 30 days the heater ships to World and Main freight prepaid. Comfort Zone's product page says it needs a 240V plug; the manual says hardwired, and there's no plug in the box.The Massachusetts and Canada version (F274806) ships with a manual that says For Outdoor Use Only; check for F274805 before using it indoors. Not for use in a dwelling home in California, per the US manual. The low-oxygen shutoff does not detect carbon monoxide; run a battery CO alarm listed to UL 2034 wherever the heater runs. Using third-party attachments or cooking on it voids the warranty.
