Our takeThe only 115V Uni-Fit that heats, with a 4,200 BTU resistance strip. Fine for taking the edge off a room; for real winter heat you'll need 230V or a heat pump. The December 2024 U revision, not recalled, at CEER 16 with ENERGY STAR Most Efficient status. About 6% less power than the CEER 15 V1UWT for the same cooling, which is nice but not worth chasing a hard-to-find listing.

Watch out forFriedrich's manual says to replace the sleeve's old rear grille with the dual-intake grille in the kit; owners report installers skipping it and units failing soon after. The 230V UET10B33A and UET12B33A make 10,600 BTU of strip heat.Midea sold the U2QWT and the recalled U1QWT with the same CEER ratings and near-identical titles; one digit separates them.
