Our takeThe larger of GE's discontinued window heat pumps, CEER 13.2. Useful as a reference for what a window heat pump can do in the cold, not something we'd hunt down used.A good saddle-style inverter for a large bedroom or living room, and it fits windows 20-40 in wide that a Midea U can't. The most common owner complaint is a low, wall-shaking vibration, and the warranty has no labor coverage.

Watch out forDiscontinued per owners.GE's warranty is 1 year replace, repair or refund, with no labor coverage; inside the retailer's return window you go back to the store. When we checked, the Amazon listing had no featured offer and one New third-party offer among used scratch-and-dent units; choose New. The 6,100 and 8,300 BTU ClearViews (AHTT06BC, AHTT08BC) look the same but are fixed-speed.
