Our takeThe December 2024 U revision, not recalled, at CEER 16 with ENERGY STAR Most Efficient status. About 6% less power than the CEER 15 V1UWT for the same cooling, which is nice but not worth chasing a hard-to-find listing.Only for a 24-1/2 to 26 in sleeve LG doesn't support, or if you want Wi-Fi in a wall unit, and only with Friedrich's rear grille installed. CEER 10.1 trails the cheaper LG, and the owner record shows too many early failures.

Watch out forMidea sold the U2QWT and the recalled U1QWT with the same CEER ratings and near-identical titles; one digit separates them.Friedrich's manual says to replace the sleeve's old rear grille with the dual-intake grille in the kit; owners report installers skipping it and units failing soon after. In a 27 in sleeve the gaps can exceed the trim ring; one owner's unit short-cycled until sealed. Friedrich excludes faulty installation from the warranty.
