Our takeOur default for a bedroom with a working 24-26 in class sleeve: LG's manual covers sleeves from nine other brands, and it plugs into a standard 115V outlet. Its CEER of 10.6 sits below DOE's 2026 minimums, so check for a newer inverter wall unit first. The December 2024 U revision, not recalled, at CEER 16 with ENERGY STAR Most Efficient status. About 6% less power than the CEER 15 V1UWT for the same cooling, which is nice but not worth chasing a hard-to-find listing.

Watch out forLG strongly recommends a new LG sleeve; if you reuse an old one without redirecting its rear louvers, a failure isn't covered. Warranty is 1 year parts and labor from an LG authorized dealer. Amazon titles it 7,800 BTU; LG rates it 8,000.Midea sold the U2QWT and the recalled U1QWT with the same CEER ratings and near-identical titles; one digit separates them.
