Heat stops below 41°F, and humid-climate owners end up draining cooling condensate by hand. Amana's R-32 heat-pump PTAC: EER 11.5, 11,000 BTU/h of heat pump output and a 3.5 kW strip. Worth it when you're replacing an Amana with a thermostat already on the wall; otherwise the Distinctions costs less. When we checked, the listing had no featured offer and one third-party seller. Warranty is 5-year limited, but years 2-5 cover functional parts only (no labor) and labor needs an authorized PTAC servicer; faulty installation is excluded. No control pad on the unit; a wired wall or Amana wireless thermostat is required. Amana's K-series (PTH123K) is the older R-410A platform with different ratings.
