We found no verified listing for it, and a 12,000 BTU unit on a shared 115V circuit deserves a check of what else is on that outlet.Amana's R-32 heat-pump PTAC: EER 11.5, 11,000 BTU/h of heat pump output and a 3.5 kW strip. Worth it when you're replacing an Amana with a thermostat already on the wall; otherwise the Distinctions costs less.

Watch out forCPSC recall #25320 (June 2025) covers the 8,000-12,000 BTU V1QWT, AV1QWT, W1QWT and U1QWT Midea U models over mold from pooled water. Read the suffix on the listing and again on the box label. The recalled 12,000 BTU models are MAW12V1QWT, MAW12AV1QWT, MAW12W1QWT and MAW12U1QWT.Warranty is 5-year limited, but years 2-5 cover functional parts only (no labor) and labor needs an authorized PTAC servicer; faulty installation is excluded. No control pad on the unit; a wired wall or Amana wireless thermostat is required. Amana's K-series (PTH123K) is the older R-410A platform with different ratings.
