Our scoreSCORE7.5 / 10Not reviewed yet
Our takeA 6,000 BTU U that carries the V1QWT suffix but isn't on the recall list, since the recall stops at 8,000 BTU. Fine to buy if you find one; the suffix alone doesn't make it a recalled unit.Windmill's only 6,000 BTU outside the Lite line, and it's the non-inverter Original at CEER 11.0. For a small bedroom, the LG 6,000 Dual Inverter at CEER 15.5 is the efficient choice.

Watch out forSame V1QWT suffix as the recalled 8,000-12,000 BTU originals; only the 6,000 size is clear.Windmill's warranty is one year on every size, with no longer compressor term, and owners report control-board and stop-cooling failures. Not the same unit as the 6,000 BTU Windmill Lite (06W11).
