Our takeThe December 2024 U revision, not recalled, at CEER 16 with ENERGY STAR Most Efficient status. About 6% less power than the CEER 15 V1UWT for the same cooling, which is nice but not worth chasing a hard-to-find listing. The Windmill to buy if you want one: an inverter box unit at CEER 15 and 41 dBA on low. A rough owner record and a one-year warranty are why we'd buy a Midea U or an LG Dual Inverter first.

Watch out forMidea sold the U2QWT and the recalled U1QWT with the same CEER ratings and near-identical titles; one digit separates them.Windmill's warranty is one year on every size, with no longer compressor term, and owners report control-board and stop-cooling failures. Windmill sells a non-inverter Original and a budget Lite line under the same name; confirm the model number on the box.
