Our scoreSCORE6.3 / 10SCORE6.7 / 10
Our takeThe strongest 5th Gen condenser, 84% of its rating at 5°F and heat to -22°F, for six zones. Its 20,000 Btu/h minimum needs big loads to run smoothly. The odd one out: 19 SEER2, 57% of its rating at 5°F and heating ends at -4°F. Skip it for a cold-climate job.

Watch out forThe 4th Gen multi-zone (C suffix, R-410A) is a different system; its 18K ran two zones, not three. On earlier generations owners report idle heads still heating or cooling and rooms overshooting setpoint; there is no long 5th Gen record yet. Line sets are one-time installs; runs past the standard 24.6 ft per head and ducted (AHU) air handlers call for added refrigerant per the manual. Sold on Amazon by a third-party seller in small quantities; condenser only, heads and line sets sold separately.Amazon 36K titles say "23 SEER2", but the bullets say up to 19 and NEEP lists 19.0. Believe the 19. The Klimaire Entrada (KIWE/KOIE, -31X, R-32, 17 SEER2) is a flare-and-vacuum unit; the DIY title reads "23 SEER2 Quick Connect". The 4th Gen DIY used the same KIWQ/KOIQ prefixes at 19.0 SEER2; confirm the -45T suffix and R-454B. The warranty page allows DIY installs, but the warranty PDF says licensed contractors only and excludes line sets. Get the DIY terms in writing and register within 45 days. The manual says the EZ-Fast Connect fittings are one-time tightening.
